The crested head of the male Silver Wood Duck can range from light to extremely dark silver with the characteristic white strip encircling and connecting the eyes. The breast and throat are silver that fades into an almost white color at the underbelly. Like the White Wood Duck, the Silver has black, red, and white patterned bill with yellowish orange feet.
