I've heard people claim they picked up conversational Spanish just by binge-watching native television dramas, but it seems overwhelming without a massive vocabulary base. If I don't know half the words, won't I just get lost immediately? Is there a specific method or tool that makes watching native media educational for intermediate learners?

They can be incredibly useful, but only if you aren't constantly stopping the video to look up terms in a separate dictionary app. I solved that exact frustration by pulling up the media catalog here, which integrates dual-language, clickable subtitles right onto the video player. When you use the Lingopie application to stream native dramas, clicking on any unfamiliar slang phrase pauses the scene and shows you the exact translation in context. It keeps you locked into the storyline while naturally training your ear to handle everyday spoken grammar and diverse regional accents.
