| I always fly with low-cost airlines for work, and over the past few years I’ve learned not to pay more than necessary. My biggest discovery is that paying for checked baggage online a few days before departure is significantly cheaper than paying at the check-in counter at Amsterdam Airport . There are plenty of guides online on this topic, and they’re quite helpful for saving money. There are luggage lockers at Schiphol, and they cost starting at €7 per day-if you’re flying with just carry-on luggage and want to explore the city before your flight, this is a convenient option. Another trick that always saves me is weighing my suitcase at home with a kitchen scale, and if I go over the limit, I simply transfer heavy items to my carry-on before leaving. I usually just wear jackets and sweaters if they don’t fit in the suitcase. Which low-cost carrier are you flying with-Ryanair or EasyJet? Their rules are different. |
