What do the different stars besides members mean?
We award our users by Stars when they achieve a certain number of positive feedbacks from other users.
- A "Yellow Star" () represents a Feedback Profile of 10 to 99.
- A "Turquoise Star" () represents a Feedback Profile of 100 to 499.
- A "Purple Star" () represents a Feedback Profile of 500 to 999.
- A "Red Star" () represents a Feedback Profile of 1,000 to 9,999.
- A "Shooting Star" ( ) represents a Feedback Profile of 10,000 or higher.
What is Proxy Bidding?
Proxy Bidding allows you to enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay for an item in the bid box. Use this method if you are interested in an item but might be away from your computer to place a new high bid. How does it work? The system monitors the item for you and bids on your behalf until you have either won the item or until another bidder places a bid higher than the amount you set in the system.
To increase your proxy bid amount, simply place another bid in the bid box for a higher amount than your original bid. This will let our system know that you are raising your proxy bid.
How long does it take for newly listed items to be available in the search function?
When you list an item on frankstrade.com, the system is immediately updated to include your item information. Your item is then added to our system database and can be found by searching the item number, browsing categories, or searching for keywords included in your item title or description. The item also will be listed in your account manager under the link selling.
How long should I wait for the seller to contact me?
It is suggested, but not required, that members involved in a transaction on frankstrade.com contact each other within three business days after the listing ends. This does not include weekends or holidays.
Please note that an emergency, illness, or computer problem may keep the seller from contacting you immediately. If the seller doesn't respond to email messages, you can request the seller's phone number.
If you are unable to contact the seller via email or telephone after a reasonable amount of time, you are no longer responsible for purchasing the item. At this point, you might consider leaving feedback to alert other buyers about your experience with the seller.
How do I edit my listing?
You can add or change information found in the item description as long as the listing meets the following criteria:
- If the listing has no bids, you can edit the entire listing description as you want.
- If the listing has bids, you can only add to the item description.
To add or change the listing information, login to your account, click on the Selling link, find the item you want to add or change, then click on the Edit link for that listing and you will be able to make the necessary changes.
