Hello, I am expecting a male temminck's tragopan to arrive my place soon. How do you think he will react toward us when I open the box?
Would it be better if I have the smaller species in the coop before I put him in?

Temm's are very calm birds in general. They become very friendly and come and eat from your hands if you attend to them on a regular basis. They do need a shelter from heavy rain, cold and wind.

I do not recommend mixing tragopans with other birds. But I hear some people do keep them like that and this is entirely upto you. They may get aggressive during the breeding season. These birds are flighty. So, when you open the box, they may fly out. So, make sure you open the box in the cage.
