We are building a pond for a few ducks and geese. Can anyone tell me how deep and wide it should be?

It doesn't need to be super deep, but the ducks love to be able to upend in the water so if it's even a couple feet deep they'd love it..but if it was like 3 or 4 feet and they could dive a litte and be just happy as pigs in mud!  As far as how wide, that's really a personal preference and it also depends on how many ducks you have.  If you have a ton you of course want to make it big enough that they can swim around and not bump into each other..lol

Thinking of ducks swimming around and bumping into each other is making me ROTFL... By the way, how often should we keep changing the water. I am planning to house 5 ducks and 5 geese, so totally 10 of them....
