Hello. We finally scanned all our old archives into PDFs, but now I have a "Digital Junk Drawer" instead of a "Paper Junk Drawer." Does anyone have a specific system for organizing a digital filing cabinet so things don't just disappear into random folders?

Hi! Man, the digital clutter is real. I actually used a guide from OpenWeb called "From Paper to PDF: Transitioning to a Digital Filing System" to fix my mess. They suggest a specific naming convention - dates first, then the client name - so everything stays in chronological order automatically. The article at https://www.open-web.info/ also talks about integrating Free Online Fax Services directly into your folders so you don't have to manually move files around. It takes a Saturday to set up the structure, but once it’s done, you can find any document in about five seconds. Total life-saver!
