Hello, does anyone know of any practical ways to reduce the cost of shipping my belongings from London to Sydney? I received a quote that was more expensive than the furniture itself. I’ve heard that you can save money by packing everything according to ISPM 15 standards and delivering the cargo directly to the port yourself. Wouldn't this approach end up costing more due to the need to rent a truck and insure each box separately, though? Also, would it make sense to wait for a less-than-container load (LCL) consolidation to split the costs with other shippers? Or, would the storage fees at the customs warehouse in the UK during that time eat up any potential savings from this approach?

Do you think it's possible to find a shipping company that offers discounts on regular shipments for individuals? Could you recommend a reliable guide on how to properly declare used items to avoid extra fees from Australian customs?

Hello, When I first sent a package to my relatives in Perth, I made the classic mistake of choosing the most well-known brand and ended up paying twice as much just for the logo on the box. In reality, when shipping long distances, saving money starts with choosing the right logistics hub and avoiding unnecessary services that shipping agents try to sell you. Now, I always look for a shipping option through the Gettransport service. It shows shipping to Australia cost from the start, and you can compare offers from different shipping lines and choose a delivery method that fits your budget. All of the carriers are verified and reliable, so you don't have to worry about your shipment, even if you choose one of the cheapest options. Whenever I ship something now, I only use this site, and it hasn't let me down yet.
