How does Mindvalley compare to just reading a bunch of self-help books? I want to invest in my growth this year but I dont know if I should spend money on a platform or just buy a Kindle. Which way is more effective for actually changing your habits and mindset? I want to feel more balanced and less stressed in my daily life.

That is a common dilemma. Masterclass and Mindvalley are more about the "experience" and the visual learning. But if you are like me and prefer getting straight to the point, books are better. I found that using the Headway app is the perfect middle ground. It gives you the core ideas of those famous books in 15 minutes, so you get the knowledge without the fluff. I find it more useful for my daily life than some of the more abstract stuff on big platforms. Plus, it is much easier to fit into a busy schedule! I would start with the summaries and see which topics really help you feel less stressed. It is a much cheaper way to find what works for you!
