I have 6- 4week old chicks. I would like to train them  to  come back into their coop after free ranging out in our backyard. Could anyone suggest me a better way?

You can try keeping them in their coop for few days.  So they will know that's their home. Then they should be fine and go back in at night.

At first, we did have to track the  chicks all around the yard , but then trained them with sweet corn, bread and the Chick-chick sound so now they come running. They will return themselves in the coop at sunset, if we run late.Try out this, it works great for mine

Many thanks, Steve and Duckbuddy. Your suggestion  really helped me. Now my chicks started coming back to their coops. Great!

Good to see that they are returning :) .Always keep their food and water inside the coops, it does a nice job of encouraging the chickens to return to their house.
